Tread The Bright Road
Tread the bright road and follow the stars,
let songs of spring and sunlight abide.
Be not ashamed of failures and scars!
Tell me, o spirit, why do you hide?
Sing! o bard, when flow'rs are arising,
blooming in sunlight and rain-freshened air,
and dream of the golden light
shining through forest leaves.
Sing out! o bard, your soul is in there!
Tread the dull road and follow the dark,
Let not the frost of sorrows abide.
Be not afraid of terrors and bars!
Tell me, o spirit, why do you hide?
Sing! o bard, when Death is arising,
Hope can yet bloom with a song in the air,
and dream of the silver light
filtered through linen clouds.
Sing out! o bard, your soul is in there!
