When In Doubt, Slug It Out

“When in doubt, slug it out,

There is no need to cry and pout,

There is no need to mope or shout,

Just go ahead and punch the lout!”

“When in doubt, slug it out,

You do not need to think about

How he will feel in the snout,

Just give a wallop good and stout.”

“When in doubt, slug it out,

Wallop, clobber, biff and clout,

Or if you want a nicer route,

Just give an argument devout

That’s sure to last just about

The time their sapience wears out.”

“When in doubt, slug it out,”

I tried it once, so now I doubt

You’ll get more than a dismal rout,

Black eye, and a bleeding snout.

“When in doubt, slug it out,”

Ensures you end up wrong-side-out.

But if you ever have a doubt

About those nuts who scream and shout

“When in doubt, slug it out!”

Don’t flee in fear or mill about.

Just smile, turn, and walk right out.

Some dope will end it in a bout,

And one will take a nasty clout

That, just with me, will leave no doubt

The dumbness of all those who shout,

“When in doubt, slug it out!”
